OOBER DRESSED UP FOR A MEAL ON A MONDAY!

I have to blame my over-dressyness at the moment on the fact I've loved dressing up for the Royal wedding and our friends wedding which was last Saturday. Thus- why I dressed up like I was going to another wedding and infact I was going to Bolton on a Monday night for a Italian meal! haha.
Anywho, My dress is a vintage 80s classic from retro rehab which I've had years and not worn as its a tad restricting on the arms. I teamed it with some cheap, white peep toe stilettos a fur trim jacket from Warehouse, which I got from a car boot sale with my Louis Vuitton hand bag. I accessorised with some hot pink diamante earrings from Mikey to finish it off.

I wore this on birthday boxing day, thus my efforts to keep up my full face make up- a la mac the day previous! I look more like I have 2 black eyes though rather than "smokey" ones! Oh well, I will never make it as a make up artist!
Anywho, this fabulous dress was only £2 from Retro Rehab in Manchester! Can you believe it? I teamed it with white accessories such as my vintage cowboy boots from Cow, this leather chunky white belt from a car boot sale and a white flower in my hair which was just £2 in accessorize! a bargain and then I wore some black tights for warmth!

JACKIE KENNEDY STYLE OR JUST A BIT GRANNY?

Okay, so I've been heavily influenced on my love for 50's fashion after getting quite an obsession with watching Mad Men over Christmas. I mean, who does'nt want to look like Joan with her sexy curves and perfect make up?! Anywho, I realised how Jackie Kennedy style this pink shift dress was, which I bought for £5 from Retro Rehab, and having never worn it I thought a family Party over the holidays was just the occassion. I teamed it with some big silver stud earrings which were a gift, with some cream fishnet tights from Next and these pretty patent shoes which were from a cheap shoe shop in Manchester for just £10! ....They did however make my toes bleed but I felt like a glam granny all the same! ;)

A BIG GREEN CREPE VINTAGE DRESS & A TOUCH OF SNOW FOR £2!

Maybe on New years day I was sad that our Christmas tree died and was looking a lot like a "Pheobe" tree from friends so I decided to dress up as a Christmas tree to make up for it. This dress was just £2 from Retro Rehab in Manchester, which I bought in the sale. I've had it years and never got round to wearing it. As if I was'nt bright enough wearing head to toe bright green, I teamed it with touches of snow white in the form of white beads, a chunky leather white belt and some white flat leather shoes from New Look. O well, Its nice to dress up... and it is a festive ensemble after all ;)

I wore this yesterday as I was feeling all festive with the Christmas Markets opening in Manchester! How festive is velvet... and green velvet at that!! I got this fab lil Green mini skirt from the clothes swapping party last week! I teamed it with this much loved vintage shirt from Retro Rehab- which matches perfectly! Bonus!!! I wore 2 pairs of tights, as it was cold and I love to layer it up! Both pairs are from New look- one is bright blue with sparkle and then some lace ones over the top. I'm wearing brown boots too- just to add even more colour!

OPEN VINTAGE SHIRTS WITH HIGH SHINE & UP COLLARS!

Happy Hump day folks! I hope your all having a fine and dandy week? I'm working late again tonight, after a summer of fun and mucho moving about! I really need to get my head down now and catch up quick.
So, I wore this the other day which consists of the amazing vintage, nylon shirt from Retro Rehab for just £5 reduced in the sale, teamed with a strappy purple vest top from H and M and this simple Navy Primark skirt. I also wore my high shine navy leggings with some black wedge heel boots and accessorised simply with my much loved,Versace belt...
This is my favourite way to wear shirts with my collar up and buttons open, as on the rare occasion I do wear a button up shirt and no vest under it, I always tend to worry the buttons will pop right open and I will be baring all and not know about it. Is it just me who thinks like that? I've even been prone to safety pinning shirts in between buttons before now too... Just to be sure!
Anywho, its time to get back to work so I well deserve my meal out tonight at The Olive Press restaurant in Manchester... Have a lovely evening all :)

70S MARGO FROM THE GOOD LIFE!

Hi All! I hope your all enjoying the beautiful British sunshine of late?
It's so nice to finally grab something summery out of the back of my, somewhat winter dominating wardrobe!

On Sunday I wore this dress to go to a car boot sale in and for a leisurely walk round Dunham Massey (Cheshire, National Trust property/ gardens.)
My dress was just £3 from Retro Rehab in Manchester and is a very 70s original! It was discounted for having a stain on which I managed to remove! It fits me perfectly and is tres comfy so I love it.
I popped on some flip flops, with a diamante black ring from H&M, some vintage sunglasses and some odd black earrings so match the asymmetrical shoulder design, and there you have it. Very "Margo" from the Good Life methinks!

RETRO BOW SHIRTS & BJORK STYLE HAIR!

Well, I'm recovering from another night out last night in old man pubs and a meal in The Modern with another fun evening planned tonight for a secret Taio Cruz gig! I've been out so much since getting back from Egypt, I need another week away to recover...

So I wore this little outfit yesterday which consists of a vintage bow neck shirt from Retro Rehab which was just £7, a tiered skirt from Topshop (many moons ago) with simple plain black tights, high shine boots which I bought in Hungary for £25 and this tight, waist clincher belt which I bought for £10 off ebay. I popped my hair in crazy Bjork style bunches and there you have it.
Now what to wear tonight, I feel like donning something summery as the sun is shining in good ol' Manchester. It may be about time I packed up my fur coat and snow boots after all, What do you think?

VINTAGE CANDY STRIPES & STRESS!

Well, to say I'm stressed at the moment is an understatement! Not only am I busy preparing for my 30th Black & White Vintage Ball tomorrow evening, and relatives staying, I'm having a vintage tea party on Saturday too including homemade bunting and party games, planning a PR trip to London early next week, I've also done the fashion shoot for Pretty Disturbia SS10 this week and am planning outfits for the drapers Etail awards catwalk show... phew.

VINTAGE BARGAINS & PURPLE!

Well, I wore this little ensemble yesterday for an evening meal at The Modern at Urbis! I had a lovely evening and the food in there is truly fabulous! This blog post may be a tad rushed today as I'm dashing off to the photography studio in a minute for a our Pretty Disturbia AW Fashion shoot...

So I'll keep it brief!... This outfit consists of a simple Purple Polo neck from Shout, Grey marl leggings from Topshop and a vintage 80s dress from Retro Rehab for just £5!! I accessorised with patent boots which I bought in Hungary, my Tiffany's silver bracelet & Necklace as well as my absolute favourite vintage silk coat which was just £3 on a carboot sale and came with a matching dress!...

COLOUR CLASH & GEOMETRIC 80'S!

Well, I hope you all had a fun- filled weekend? I certainly did, and now I'm sad its Monday again! Especially as I'm working on my accounts, having a filling done in an hour and I turn the dreaded 3-0 in just 3 days time....weep.

Anywho, I think I'm reliving my youth in this colourful 80's outfit! This fun batwing top is original 80's and has suede patchwork shapes on it, costing me just £1 from Retro Rehab in Manchester! A friend of mine pointed out that this jumper was probably worn by a geeky tour guide in the 80's and now its ooober trendy....how things change!
I teamed it with an orange mini skirt from River Island and a H&M purple fitted polo neck with grey marl leggings from Topshop.

You may notice my footwear is o so chunkier than normal, as these are my "I-won't-fall-on-my-bum-again" practical, big grip boots which were just £15 from a cheap shoe shop on Oldham street! But so far they do indeed, do the trick in keeping me upright in the snow and surprisingly, I'm really growing to like them!

A GRECIAN STYLE DRESS FOR £1

Well, I'm listening to Christmas songs as I blog and am feeling in a very festive mood, with just over 2 weeks to the big day!! I really am a big kid when it comes to Christmas and I even get butterflies just thinking about it. I take it this is not normal behavior for a 20-Something??....

Anywho, atleast yesterday I looked grown up in this a simple vintage black polo neck and a vintage brown 70's dress which I picked up from Retro rehab for just £1!!! A big bargain indeed. To accesorize I teamed it with All Saints kitten heel boots, my vintage brown velvet belt from Rags to Bitches in Manchester and some big old studs from Peacocks! Now back to day dreaming about Christmas..... (atleast for a little while!)

AN OUTFIT FOR £1!

Unbelievably, its taken me 6 photo attempts to get a photo thats worth showing! (I am so damn unphotogenic! haha....)
Amazingly, This fabulous find of a dress was only a £1!!! in a fantastic vintage shop on Oxford street, Manchester called Retro Rehab. They have a discount rail which I frequently pick up quirky finds! I strongly recommend you visit it if you can.

I kept today's outfit simple with such a bright dress by doing bright eye make up and by wearing a stunning vintage diamante necklace from the 1950's which I got from a car boot sale in Clitheroe for £7... Expensive when you compare it to my dress hey! And slightly unfortunate you can hardly see it under my knotty curls!
Again, I wore my (truly loved) brown, knee high boots to punk it up a bit. I love a bargain outfit, and I certainly think I got one with this little number.
