VINTAGE WEDDING DRESSES FOR A NIGHT IN!

Well I hope you all had a fabulous weekend? Mine was indeed fancy pants as I went to a beautiful wedding and went out with friends last night. Basically drinking and partying far too much, but loving every minute of it!

Anywho, as I went to a wedding it seemed appropriate for me to post this older pic of me in a wedding dress, which I wore for a fancy dress hen do a few weeks ago.
The outfit consists of this lovely vintage dress from Rags to Bitches in Manchester which was £30, teamed with some classic pearls and a headband from H&M which was just £2 in the sale. I popped on some satin cream shoes to complete the bridal outfit, which I put together using things I already had! A great night was had with all the other bridal beauties, so much so- I want to do it again very soon!!..

Anywho, I'm wearing navy leggings from H&M with a vintage crinoline dress from Retro Rehab in Manchester which was £5, with a satin Pretty Disturbia neck tie and Giorgio Armani belt. I popped on some silver Jewellery, DKNY watch and my leather peep toe shoes, which I'm still determined to wear in!

VINTAGE CANDY STRIPES & STRESS!

Well, to say I'm stressed at the moment is an understatement! Not only am I busy preparing for my 30th Black & White Vintage Ball tomorrow evening, and relatives staying, I'm having a vintage tea party on Saturday too including homemade bunting and party games, planning a PR trip to London early next week, I've also done the fashion shoot for Pretty Disturbia SS10 this week and am planning outfits for the drapers Etail awards catwalk show... phew.

O well, I'm taking 5 little minutes out to update my blog with this fine and dandy striped vintage dress which was just £5 from Retro Rehab on Oldham Street, Manchester. I teamed it with simple black leggings, a H&M Orange polo neck and punky black leather belt from Principles, bought back in the day.
I wore, patent knee boots, a big kitsch black ring from London and bright orange eyeshadow to match.
Right, Now back to that list..... I do actually work better under pressure so lets hope I get everything done with some time spare to actually enjoy myself too! Wish me luck peeps....

VINTAGE BARGAINS & PURPLE!

Well, I wore this little ensemble yesterday for an evening meal at The Modern at Urbis! I had a lovely evening and the food in there is truly fabulous! This blog post may be a tad rushed today as I'm dashing off to the photography studio in a minute for a our Pretty Disturbia AW Fashion shoot...

So I'll keep it brief!... This outfit consists of a simple Purple Polo neck from Shout, Grey marl leggings from Topshop and a vintage 80s dress from Retro Rehab for just £5!! I accessorised with patent boots which I bought in Hungary, my Tiffany's silver bracelet & Necklace as well as my absolute favourite vintage silk coat which was just £3 on a carboot sale and came with a matching dress!...

VINTAGE, DOLL FACED AND 30!

Well do I look older? this is me in my 30's... with lots of make up on to make it all better! I had such a fabulous birthday and was spoilt rotten with amazing presents from Tiffanys, Karen Millen and D&G! How lucky am I.... It truly makes being 30 all worthwhile.

Well, I'm wearing a fabulous vintage dress which was a much loved birthday present, teamed with a black polo neck and leggings for warmth, and my non sexy, chunky boots for non slip action!
I accessorised with a stunning Tiffany's silver beaded necklace and braclet (and other much loved present from the best sister ever) as well as my marvelous present, D&G watch and a headband from H&M which cost just £2 in the sale. My vintage style Make up is all MAC and professionally done by the tres glamorous, Wai Sim at Selfridges Manchester! I loved my pin- up make up if just for one day!

This is just part one of my birthday day outfits, so I look forward to posting my very fabulous Karen Millen dress outfit on Monday... but until then, there's still some champagne to be had... Have a lovely weekend and I'll see you soon!

GOTHIC 80'S & DENIM!

Happy Bonfire night to you all! I intend to celebrate it in the comfort and safety of my own home by grabbing a big blanket and watching everyone else displays from my apartment balcony, with a glass of wine at hand and candles around me!...

Anywho, I wore this last weekend to the "Lost boys" fancy dress Halloween party. Just my kind of style! Apart from the fangs and denim which I'm not really a fan of, I had the whole outfit anyway...
So, The jacket is from Morgan which I cropped myself, the vintage velvet dress is from a fabulous charity shop in Hungary for £18 and I teamed it with my over the knee boots and lace tights, as well as a gothic necklace which I've had for years. Doing my hair like that also really brings me backs to my 80's perms and how I dressed when I was 18, its just a shame my face shows much more "wisdom" than it did back then....

80'S WORKING GIRL!

Well, I intend to continue my much needed clothes clearout when I get home so I must keep this post short and sweet, like this little number...

I wore this on Saturday night for my friends 80's themed birthday meal, which is just how i'd love to dress every day if I could. I'm wearing originally 80's clip on earrings and this dress I bought from a (very fabulous) Vintage shop in Hungary for £15, I've never actually worn it before, and managed to rip the net underlining by dancing a tad too crazily!...

I teamed the ensemble with my much loved, Italian studded leather boots with Tassles, which are'nt actually from the 80's but seemed fitting some how. I just don't think you can own enough vintage dresses. Not only do you not get caught wearing the same dress as anyone else (A-la primark), You feel tres special just owning it!
I did infact have the film "Working Girl" in mind for a glam, yuppy 80's themed outfit... but I do wonder if infact look more like an actually working girl...... hmmm.
Mental note, next time- ditch the red lipstick.
