FLARES, PURPLE LEATHER & A GRUMPY FACE!

I hope you all had a fine and dandy weekend? After spending most of last week dashing round London for the Drapers Etail awards and meeting lots of fabulous press (who loved Pretty Disturbia's SS10 collection!!- Vogue included!), I had a nice relaxing weekend to recover.

I realised just how little I wear trousers these days so Yesterday, I donned these old faithful flares from C&A, which I bought in Spain, many moons ago. I teamed it with a Purple vest from H&M, vintage shirt and neck bow, as well as my fabulous purple leather with fur trim coat which I picked up for a bargainous £35 from a vintage shop in Oxford....
Apologies for the tres moody face, not sure why I look such a grump! Anywho, back to designing the Pretty Disturbia ss10 Look Book for Wednesdays looming deadline!
Have a fab evening peeps!

AUTUMNAL & RETRO!

Somehow, I find myself still working away at my desk at 9pm on a Tuesday... Not good. I am very much, looking forward to my home cooked risotto with a fine white wine to compliment it when I get home!....

I wore this ensemble Yesterday which is full of layers again, although I (hopefully!) don't look like cake this time!

The shirt is a fantastic vintage find from a charity shop in London, the waistcoat, a grey pinstripe classic from Topshop (with vintage broache, £14.99 from an Antique fair) the coral is a timeless vest from Oasis £12, with my brown tutu designer skirt and grey marl leggings from Topshop!
Very Autumnal and retro, methinks...
Now it is certainly time for tea, Have a lovely evening peeps!

KITSCH CLEANER!

Good Afternoon! I'm feeling much better today, recovering nicely in time for the bank holiday weekend!

With regards to Yesterday's outfit, I thought I looked stylish in my kitsch 70s outfits but with todays fresh view, I fear I may look a lot like a red nosed cleaner and not quite Margo in "The Good Life" as planned!...

The outfit consists of a knitted H&M polo neck with a 70's vintage crinoline mini dress ( £15 from that fantastic Rags to Bitches again!) teamed with my classic dark denim, Miss sixty flares which cost me a pretty penny considering how little I wear them! I'm not a fan of denim as such and rarely wear it to be honest!
The outfit is accessorized with a retro belt from Primark (£2) and my well loved italian leather tan cowboy boots which you can just see peeping out. On that note, have a lovely evening and a happy weekend eve, I'm off to powder my red nose.

GIFT WRAPPED RETRO!

Well, I will be doing 2 posts today, covering todays and yesterdays outfits! Yesterdays was a little on the adventurous side with this huge bow around my neck but why not hey! ;)

I'm such a fan of tight vintage polo necks to help hide my double chin-age, but do like to jazz them up, so I teamed this Marks & Spencer's vintage classic with a retro print, H&M neck scarf which I got in the sale for a bargainous £2! I really do wish I could find more of the fine ribbed polo necks but I even struggle to find them on ebay...

Anywho, The skirt was from a car boot sale in Middleton for £4 and its by a brand called Diva (and cost a fair bit new apparently). The leggings are of course Pretty Disturbia (dip dye leggings for £22.99) under my brown, fantastic, plastic over the knee, cheapy boots which I need another pair of!!!
You just can't beat over the knee boots... comfort, warmth and kinkiness rolled into one. A must have for AW.
