CANDY STRIPE VINTAGE!

Well, I feel like I need a holiday all over again, my workload has been crazy since I got back from Egypt- luckily I have the 4 day Easter break to help me rejunvenate!

This little outfit is a kitsch, candy striped vintage suit which I bought from Barnados on Deansgate, Manchester for just £18! I heart it- although I don't feel half as nice in it after using it to style a shoot where the stunning size 8 model looked much better than I do, in it! I accessorised simply with vintage buttons on the lapel and big black boots with of course- classic red lippy....

PURPLE, CREAM & A TOUCH OF ANIMAL PRINT!

Well I'm back from fabulous Egypt and had a lovely restful time!
I wore this little outfit yesterday to go out for a cheap tea and the comedy club test night at Deansgate locks in Manchester! Its just £2 to go for hours of entertainment and is on every last and 2nd sunday of the Month- I grab tea from Lakota next door where you can get 2 meals for £5! Where else can you have tea out and a night of comedy for £4.50?? crazy value and mucho fun.

Anywho, the outfit consists of this Pre- production Pretty Disturbia tee (not yet available) with my much loved purple shrug which was £5 in London, some cream leggings from New Look and the
gorgeous satin gather skirt is Pretty Disturbia which costs £49.99.
I accessorised with this quirky DKNY bag, a big rose ring from Potabello road market, a D&G watch (Originally £850- which I got it from a dress agency for just £90!) and some pink sparkly stud earrings from Peacocks for just £2. How I heart my bargains....

Its holiday eve-eve all, I'm oober excited about jetting to good ol' T'Eygpt for a well earned week in the sun! bliss......

Well on Sunday, I had a fine and dandy time watching "Alice in Wonderland" at the flicks, and as so I decided to dress accordingly to match!
This stunning blue net gather skirt is new to the SS10 Pretty Disturbia collection and costs £52.99, its great for summer! Also the Royal blue shade is predicted a big trend for the season also!
I teamed it with this lovely black cut out shoulder top which I've had longer than I care to remember, I added to it with black tights and lil witchy boots- a la Tim Burton Stylee.
I must say, Alice in wonderland is fabulous, a really a must see film if you have'nt yet had the pleasure!

CHER CATSUITS & BARE BACKS!

Well I had a tres busy weekend this weekend, and even got dressed up as Cher for a rock star fancy dress party!

Yes, to the left, is me attempting the look of an 80's Cher, I don't normally dress like this!
I curled my hair with tons of mousse and a big diffuser to create this 80's mop, and wore some skinny fit, flares I've had since I was 16 and bought in Portugal. I teamed it with a bare all back top which I again, wore in my clubbing days so it looked like a catsuit! I then tried to pile on the make up and look sculptured/ a la plastic surgeoned!
It was great fun to have a reason to dress up like I did when I was 16, I knew I'd find a use to these old favourite items, (and people wonder why I don't get rid of anything!...)

GREEN, ORANGE AND A DASH OF CREAM!

Happy Friday peeps! It's that very fabulous friday, fun time again, and yet again I'm looking forward to a relaxing rest... which consists of a 30th, a family meal out and a fancy dress party! No rest for the wicked hey! As it is, I've been out twice this week. Last night of which was a charity fashion show, hosted by Emile Heskey's wife. It was a fab night of cocktails, celebs and fashion!...

So, I wore this little ensemble yesterday when I styled a fashion shoot at Cheetham school of music Library. The outfit consists of an orange polo neck from H&M, matching mini skirt from Dorothy Perkins, cream leggings, a vintage neck scarf, a classic black belt and this sheer top from H&M which I got from a car boot sales for £2!
I know cream, orange and green are'nt a usual colour combination but I felt summery so what the heck! why not indeed.... ;)

FUR CAPES, STRIPES & BODY CONS!

Well, I've just got back from styling a fashion shoot with the very fabulous photographer, Kellianne Chandler. The theme was "Geek chic" so it consisted of vintage florals and pastels, with thick rimmed glasses, shot in the most stunning library, at Cheetham School of music, Manchester. A great day was had by all, but I'm exhuasted now!...

Anywho, I wore this lil outfit yesterday, which consists of black knee high boots (£24.99- Varanni), black leggings, a simple black top from Morgan, a Pretty Disturbia body con side print dress, £34.99, with a striped jacket from Zara, my chunky black rose ring from Portabello road market, (£3) and this lovely fur shawl/cape which I bought from Ebay for just £7!
It's a versatile outfit, as I stripped down to the dress and leggings for my ballet class last night but was still dressed up for lunch with an old friend in the day. My kind of outfit- day to night time versatility!

ALICE IN WONDERLAND STYLE DRIPS & STRIPES!

I'm feeling a tad worse for wear today after going out with friends last night and drinking far too much vino... doh. We had a great night though in The Oyster bar and Corbieres. Its nice to go out mid week to feel totally young and naughty, Just not nice waking up the next morning with a killer hangover, looking ten years older....

Yesterday, I wore this black long sleeve top from Kookai years ago, (which makes me wonder if Kookai is still in business anymore, as I've not seen a shop in a while?)...
I teamed it with plain black leggings, some kitsch little boots which I was given, a Pretty Disturbia pre-production sample skirt, and this new Pretty Disturbia Drips logo ribbon t-shirt £25.99, with a simple black belt to accessorise and blue eyeshadow to match.
Now, I think its time for some fattening Macdonalds to help my little tum feel oh so better...

80's HOT PINK & CAGE BOOTS TOO BIG!

Well, yet again I fall behind on blog posts but have every intention to catch up- the problem is there's just not enough hours in the day! (And even more to do when you plan a week off)... I'm so looking forward to my lil hol to Egypt next Thursday!

Anywho, I wore this little outfit on Sunday evening for a nice Italian meal at Rustica in Manchester. It consists of a bargainous, pink cowl neck dress which was just £7 in New Look in the sale- (it really reminds me of Daryl Hannahs, turquoise one in the 80's classic film, "Splash!")
I teamed it with a designer bracelet which is a much loved present, a patent black belt, black leggings and these amazingly fabulously cage boots from Office- which were £7 in the sale. However, they're 2 sizes too big but that did'nt stop me buying them! Does anyone else do that or is it just me who buys shoes that don't fit??...

MATCHING BLURRED FLORALS & PIGTAILS!

Well, A happy weekend eve to you all! I'm so very glad it's Thursday and the end of the week is near, I swear this is an extra long week! Last night, I was supposed to go to Ballet but worked late again and missed it... How very dissapointing! O well, that's what you get for having your own business.

Anywho, I wore this little outfit yesterday, which consists of a blue polo neck, Pretty Disturbia, blurred floral crop top £27.99 with a black Tutu from Bay Trading- (just £10 in the closing down sale), and some matching Pretty Disturbia, blurred floral print leggings, £21.99. I popped on my over the knee black boots and my D&G Watch, and viola.
I am however, pondering, if at the age of 30, I can still get away with pigtails. Maybe if I have to ask, the answer should be no Leesa, you can't......

MONOCHROME 50'S AMERICANA!

Sadly, this outfit is what I wore to Yesterdays funeral. The lovely person who died, loved to go out and party and only lived to the unfortunate age of 28. The dress code was black and white, party outfits to celebrate their life. Therefore, everyone who attended looked fabulous, despite all the tears.

I wore this black roll neck top, with a dress I picked up from a car boot sale for £1 (it is however, a George one) I teamed it with a white chunky leather belt, black boots and a vintage net underskirt (Which was £60) to create a 50's Vintage Americana look. I accessorised with a chunky black ring, silver bangle and diamante studs and popped on my well loved, Morgan mock leather jacket which I bought when I worked in Morgan as a sales assistant, (many moons ago). With 50% discount for working there, I did spend most of my wages at the time on some classic items that I still love and cherish, and really are timeless.....

CROPPED DRIPS AND FLARES!

Well its been a very sad day today, having just got back from a funeral of a 28 year old girl who died of Cancer, it was the saddest funeral I've ever been to. A day like today really makes you value things and put life into perspective...

I wore this ensemble on Saturday so, this little punky outfit consists of a Pretty Disturbia, cropped drips jumper £40.99, with a classic, black long sleeve top, flared trousers from Morgan £49.99, my tan, leather cowboy boots and this little gold vintage bag for a little touch of 80's. I do love these trousers, and am so sad that Morgan is no longer in business. I could always rely on them for some great quirky, long length trouser- I even bought these in bulk I love them so much- this is one of 3 of the same pairs I own!

EYEBALLS & MONOCHROME!

Well, I hope you all had a tip top weekend? I had a fun filled one, which consisted of a 30th party, a meal out, swimming and an oober cheap night at the Comedy Store to see Jason Manford on a test night for just £2! ...Talk about a bargain!

I wore this outfit to the 30th on Saturday, which consists of a black long sleeve top, gorgeous gather pencil skirt from Jane Norman, a white designer leather jacket from the Elite Dress agency in Manchester £45.00, as well as the Pretty Disturbia, cropped eyeball print bubble top £27.99 (which featured in the Independent Newspaper, last week!) I teamed it with some matching 80's style blue eyshadow, diamante studs and a chunky white leather belt which was £1 at a car boot sale, and viola- A punky, monochrome ensemble!
I did however, look a lot shabbier than this later that night when I was on Sambuca shots whilst playing games of pontoon, I can tell you! ;)
