Happy Christmas eve-eve-eve....Eve peeps! Not long now hey! Just 4 days to go to the big day! With that in mind, I've managed to dress quite festive for the most part of December, and this outfit is no exception! My red polo neck was bought from a little boutique in Hungary, which I teamed with this lil black shrug from Manchester Markets for £5! With it, I wore this lovely knitted traffic people skirt which was £10 in a sale- its oober fab, with harlequins and trumpets on it- very kitsch! I wore, black velvet leggings for warmth, and accessorised with this lovely bag from Tkmaxx which was a much loved present, with my diamante belt and a funky pendant. I'm also wearing lil red boots to match for another touch of claret!
This may be my last post for 2010, so I wish you all a very sparkly, fun filled festive Christmas and all the best for 2011! xx

SKINNY JEANS, PATCHWORK LEATHER & A BATWING 80'S TOP!
Can you believe its just 11 days to Christmas!!! Madness indeed!!! I'm tres excited and have really gone to town on it this year, with a Christmas tree in every room and I've even made my own wreath! :)
I never usually wear jeans, but as I was only going round to someones house on Saturday and wanted to wear this big glam top, I made the exception! The top is stunning, and an original vintage 80s' batwing sequin top- I've never worn it and I've had it years! I teamed it with my oldest skinny jeans, some lil red boots and this vintage patchwork leather bag, which was just £5 from a Charity shop in Chester! I accessorised simply with my much loved Biba chunky bracelet to finish it off! x

DOLLY PARTON STYLE DENIM!
How Dolly Parton is this shirt? I saw it in a Charity shop and could'nt make up my mind if I loved it or hated it! I decided it was that bad, it was good so happily paid £7 for it! Not only is stone wash denim, it has applique flowers, metallic stitching, studs and coloured beading, as well as batwing sleeves! Kitsch indeed. I teamed it simply with a long black top and flared full circle jeans which I got from and MFN sample sale as the shirt says it all! I wore brown cowboy boots and back combed my hair, 80's style to finish off the look and wen't out for some good ol' Sunday car boot shopping to buy more vintage goodies.....

LIME (NOT YELLOW) AND HOT PINK FUSION!
I wore this last Saturday night for a mucho fun Engagement party and then onto Mint Lounge in the Northern Quarter. A great time was had, except for my aching party feet from dancing the night away.
So, This tres fabulous Lime green Gaga style dress is from ASOS but I got it from a clothes swapping party that day! I did debate with many people on the colour of the dress... and so I think like me, you will agree it is in fact Lime... and not yellow!
Anywho, as Lime ( and not yellow!) goes so well with hot pink, I donned some hot pink accessories including these satin armlets from Ebay, a vintage 80s belt from a Manchester Fashion Network Event and these vintage pink beads. I wore my high sine black leggings and high heel witchy boots, which I truly loathed by the end of the night!

The animal print jeans are fab, I don't usually do jeans but I think these are fun and funky so an exception! The silver top is fab, although you can see my bra through it now I realise! hehe. I accessorised with this aqua belt and a chain belt which I wore as a necklace. The Biba bracelet and brown boots are both mine! I really can't recommend clothes swapping parties enough, as its good free, productive fun and can really revamp your wardrobe!

A BELATED HAPPY HALLOWEEN PEEPS!
So what do you think? I'm supposed to be some kind of a devil queen.. .basically, its an outfit I made at Uni which I've never worn so I stuck some horns on and dark make up and thats about it...
The red dress was £10 in a charity shop- which is a tad pricey for second hand methinks but I do love it. Its stretch satin and long pencil length. I accessorised simply with my chunky bangle, for which I exchanged for some Pretty Disturbia high shine armlets later on that evening. My horns were £1 from the pound shop and came with a glittered fork too. My, how I do love pound shops.....

MORTICIA IN BLACK WITH A PASTY FACE!
Okay, So its not quite my usual kind of outfit. Yes I'm supposed to be Morticia Addams. Although, I think everyone at the fancy dress party just thought I was a witch! I enjoyed getting dressed up none the less! ;)
I wore this long black v-neck dress which was £2 on a car boot sale. It has a big diamante buckle which I covered with a piece of lace, and I popped this see through, sheer long cardigan over the top. Which I bought for just £10 from a cheap shop in 1998! ( Can you tell I don't clear out a lot!!)
I wore my patent high heel boots and some goth style necklaces to finish it all off... with some white face paint of course! A great night was had, and when people realised who I was, they did say I looked just like Morticia- whether I should take that as a compliment or not, I'm not quite sure! :)

Happy Weekend eve all! I'm very glad indeed this week is finally coming to an end as its meant working long hours on the Pretty Disturbia website, updating all the product shots in time for our new Press launch! Exciting times indeed!!
Anywho, I know I look a bit kooky in this, but I was dressing up for a weekend themed around wearing checks! I based the outfit around this A-mazing 80's jacket which I bought for £6 in a charity shop- it is as you guessed original vintage- I mean they just don't make them like this anymore- Navy, turquoise, blue and purple! Underneath I wore a velvet vintage rara dress and donned a matching Beret, which was £1 on a car boot sale. I had navy leggings on for warmth and some navy boots to match. A viola. No wonder I got looked at so weirdly walking around Manchester....

Anywho, I wore this lovely vintage striped dress the other day which was from ebay for just £8. Its a tad on the long side so I hitched it up with this chunky black patent leather belt. I popped on my beige boots and accessorised only with a big chunky sequin ring which was £5 from the Manchester Fashion Network Sample Sale. I love the neck bow on this dress as its attached so I don't lose it in the wash- I have a tendancy to do that! Accessories that are attached- I love the idea.

FRENCHIE STRIPES WITH RED & NAVY!
Happy Friday! I hope you've had a good week and are looking forward to a 2 day break- like moi! I'm having a James Bond themed party tomorrow night and on Monday I'm off to Alton towers for the day, so I've had so much to do this week, as well as a busy workload and house moving stuff ...still!
Anywho, Its friday and I have a relaxed night planned with friends staying over for a big Dexter Fest!
So, I wore this ensemble this week, which looks a tad French, with the stripes and neck bow! The polo neck dress is from H&M but I bought it for £2 second hand and the neck tie is vintage. I teamed it with some navy leggings and a matching vintage belt, with black boots- as I could' t find my navy vintage ones. Damn. I hate that. I don't mind weird colour combos but in my opinion, navy and black don't really work- unless teamed with purple for an all over bruise look.! Anyway on that note- have a tip top weekend folks! x

PRETTY DISTURBIA DIP DYE MINI DRESS & KNEE SOCKS!
I hope you all had a fine and dandy weekend! I had such a lovely restful one- except for getting addicted to season 1 of Dexter, which I nearly watch all of in one day!... Its mighty good, if you've not yet seen it!
Anywho, I wore this on Friday for relaxed day in the office. It consists of some grey marl leggings and my black cut out shoulder top, which I've had since I was about 12! I popped on over it this Pretty Disturbia dip dye stripe mini dress- £32.99, with some silver knee socks and comfy black wedge boots. I accessorised simply with my silver bangle, a black sequin ring ( £5 from the MFN sample sale) ad a studded, black leather belt- 50p on a car boot sale, with a touch of rouge on my lips and nails- so it was'nt all drab grey and black like the weather in Manchester that day!....doh.

A SPOTTY SATIN DRESS WITH A BIRD APPLIQUE FOR £1!
Happy Hump day all! I hope your having a lovely day and not working too hard, I mean now we're past the first part of the week, we should look to wind down!?...
Anywho, I bought this mucho lovely dress for just £1 on a car boot sale, and its like new! You can't really see the gold bird applique on my right shoulder but it looks fab! I wore underneath it a turqouise polo neck from H&M with some plum leggings from Next. I wore a plum waspie belt from Primark as well as 2 lots of vintage beads which were turqouise, plum and pearl to match! I love unusal colour combinations, and love the challenge of matching to the exact shade. I really don't think I experiment enough with colour these days! Since I recently purchased 2 amazing grey Jackets- I've been wearing a hell of a lot of grey. Boring Indeed!.... I must remember to be brighter!

MOODY MARE FACE, WITH A PERFUME TEE & TUTU!
Now, Don't I look a moody mare in this picture! Unfortunately, this is my normal expression- which constantly makes builders to "cheer up love" and "it might never happen!" So with this moody mush, I have worn this lovely pale pink perfume tee (which was 50p on a car booty!) and teamed it with this black sequined tutu, which was £5 in the closing down sale at Bay Trading. My floral leggings were £8 from Primark and I wore my beige cheep-but-mucho-comfortable boots which were just £3 new and boxed- on a car boot sale!
I accessorised with a black watch, real silver bangle from Turkey, My marcasite, chunky silver ring and a lovely silver and black vintage necklace.... I'm definitely going to try and smile more on these post pics, as unhappy moody faces, are just not very "Manchester!" methinks.

CHECK, STRIPES AND A DIP DYE HEM!
Well, I hope your having a better start to the week than I am! My day unfortunately started with family issues, a broken phone and my website and emails going down... I've spent most of the day- trying to sort out the latter, which I am pleased to say I managed to do- not without tears and day of uneeded stress and phonecalls though!
Anywho, I wore this lil ensemble last week for a day of meetings. My black top, is from Zara and has cut out shoulders. The check top is a lovely purchase from a car boot sale, which is originally from Next! I teamed it with a contrasting striped, dip dye Pretty Disturbia skirt which retails at £39.99, with a vintage red leather belt with plain black leggings. Although you can hardly see them, I'm wearing short, high heel lace up witchy boots- which I'm wearing in just in time for Halloween ;)

A METALLIC LEOTARD, OLD TROUSERS & A SHRUNKEN CARDY!
Well happy Friday!!!! WOoooooOO. Its been a big week all in all for me, so I'm glad its drawing to a close! I hope you have some lovely things planned, and unlike me it does'nt including painting a living room and working on a sample sale! Plus, painting the living room is becoming a small nightmare after buying gold paint, which needs about 15 layers and looks all patchy! doh...
Anywho, I wore this the other day to work and then out in the evening for a mucho fun craft night at my friends flat! The outfit consists of some old grey, wide leg trousers- which I don't have the foggiest where there from, with a metallic leotard from River Island, which was 50p on a car boot sale! I popped over the top this cropped cardy which is from Primark, but was £1- again on a mighty fine Car boot sale! It was a size 14 so I boiled washed it so it shrank! ;) I wore a studded silver belt, black boots and a lace tied bow in my hair to accessorise...a viola! x

BLACK SHINE, GREY & RED WITH CHEAP BEADS & FRIZZY HAIR!
Hi peeps! I really have had a day of appreciating Manchester today. The sun has been shining brightly- so much so, I was actually too hot and wore Sunglasses! Friends I have in the city, have been lovely and helpful as per usual and the sunshine set off Manchester's fine architecture and greenery. It's nice just to truly appreciate how great that is and appreciate the lovely peeps and fabulousness of Manchester....
Anywho, I wore this the other day for a day in the office and drinks after work. It consists of a red polo neck top from Hungary, teamed with a satin, black shirt from Marks and Spencers which I paid just a £1 for on a car boot sale! My black gather skirt, (which I always get complimented on) is from Primark, and my grey marl leggings are from Topshop. I popped on my comfy black boots from Varanni ( which were £10 in the sale) and I accessorised with some cheap and cheerful beads, as well as this kooky, grey, bondage belt from Ebay. My grey slouchy bag is real leather from River Island but I paid just £5 for it to a lovely girl moving to Australia, selling everything she owned on a car boot sale! I also picked up an Amazing Vivienne Westwood wallet from her for just £5 also!.... A-Mazing purchase!!!

SEWN UP SKIRTS & A BIG GOLD BROOCH!
Well, I wore this the other day as I was feeling quite Summery. That feeling has now certainly passed and I'm raring and ready for Autumn/ Winter! (I much prefer it to Summer, with Christmas, dark nights, candles by the fire and generally wrapping up with boots, leather, velvets and furs!..)
Anywho, The outfit consists of this lovely net skirt, which was too long and shapeless, so I sewed it up in gathers to make it much more sexy and glam. I wore a topshop brown vest top with this classic Topshop cropped jacket and donned my fave, Carvella studded leather boots. To accessorise, I popped on this vintage gold brooch and some cheap beads from Primark for a touch of coral to lift it colour wise!

BRIGHT BLUE, RELIGION & A BAG FROM THE POUNDSHOP!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend? Mine was great, if not a tad quirky too! I discovered a hidden face in a Bullitt poster of Steve McQueens hair which freaked me out...had motion sickness from going on a boat and yesterday I smashed some nail varnishes in my new corner bath which has ruined it! doh....
Other than that it was mucho fun!
I wore this on Saturday evening for my friends birthday do in Common, in Manchester. It consists of this great Religion dress which was £20 in a Manchester Fashion Network sample Sale, teamed with this vintage belt, a bag from the pound shop- (which is amazing!!) and my much loved Carvella boots which were £350...but I got them as a 30th birthday present! I opted for 80s style make up with rouge lips and bright blue eyeshadow to match my dress! ;)

BUSTLE JACKETS, A CORSET & MANY WEDDING SHOES!
Happy Friday all! I hope you all have a fine and dandy weekend planned? I'm looking forward to an evening at the Lakes tonight and out for a friends birthday tomorrow. Its been a tres busy week this week, so I can't wait!!
I'm trying to dress much more smart these days, so I popped this lil ensemble on the other night for a meal out at The Modern restaurant in Manchester.
It consists of this vintage 80's pencil skirt, teamed with this lovely lace cream corset from Warehouse and this stunning, silk Jacket which was just £12.99 in the sale at TOFU. Its just beautiful and even has a bustle at the back with a inset lace panel. I would love to wear more bustle jackets- they are just so glamorous and 50's pin up style! I accessorised with this unusual vintage silver necklace and matching brooch, with my peep top, lace wedding shoes, which I bought from a Charity shop for £15- and they've never been worn! I love dressing up, it really is the highlight of my day!.... ( and just for the record, I own 4 pairs of wedding shoes!...I think my obsession started when I got hooked on wearing my Holy Communion shoes as a child. After that, normal shoes just didn't make me feel as special!..)

OPEN VINTAGE SHIRTS WITH HIGH SHINE & UP COLLARS!
Happy Hump day folks! I hope your all having a fine and dandy week? I'm working late again tonight, after a summer of fun and mucho moving about! I really need to get my head down now and catch up quick.
So, I wore this the other day which consists of the amazing vintage, nylon shirt from Retro Rehab for just £5 reduced in the sale, teamed with a strappy purple vest top from H and M and this simple Navy Primark skirt. I also wore my high shine navy leggings with some black wedge heel boots and accessorised simply with my much loved,Versace belt...
This is my favourite way to wear shirts with my collar up and buttons open, as on the rare occasion I do wear a button up shirt and no vest under it, I always tend to worry the buttons will pop right open and I will be baring all and not know about it. Is it just me who thinks like that? I've even been prone to safety pinning shirts in between buttons before now too... Just to be sure!
Anywho, its time to get back to work so I well deserve my meal out tonight at The Olive Press restaurant in Manchester... Have a lovely evening all :)

VINTAGE CARDYS, PIGTAILS AND A BADLY LIT HALLWAY!
So.....What do you think of my new, badly lit hallway? Not great is it! The fact we don't even have carpet yet does'nt help, and the fact that when we do get it carpeted- its going to be black is even worse!
I actually think it will work okay for taking the photos when we have good lighting and maybe a white rug to show of the footwear- I know how many of you hated the black rug I used to use!
Anywho, The outfit consists of this amazing vintage cardigan, which I picked up from a Charity shop in Harrogate for just £4.05- (Why the 5p more- I'll never know!)
Anywho, I teamed it with some classic navy topshop leggings, some vintage denim hotpants and a classic low neck white tee. I popped on some comfy flat pumps to finish it off nicely! I actually wen't to a meeting dressed like this and was asked if had met them on my day off??! Mental note- dont wear denim shorts when meeting important accountancy people. ;)

TIME FOR SOMETHING NEW!
Well, its a new start in many ways for me this month. Not only have I moved house, but I have also moved office too! Which therefore means I have decided to freshen the look of the blog accordingly- as I have a new hallway to take pictures in, and a new office in which to write about them! The only problem is I'm a big fan of black walls and dim lighting which does'nt work too well for photographing outfits! doh...
O well, I will try a few variations of locations and see what you guys think! Be honest ;)
Bye-Bye old Hallway and... Hello new fresh blog style! xx

BIKER JACKETS, COWBOY BOOTS & A HEADBAND!
Sadly, this is going to be one of my last blog posts on this layout, due to moving to a new fancy pants apartment- I now have a new hall way to take pics in!
So, anywho- I wore this last week when It rained down hard in Manchester!
It consists of a some classic grey marl leggings, teamed with this lovely backless dress which was £2 on ebay. It was quite a long length so I shortened the hem! The belt is also part of the dress. I accessorised with a vintage diamante brooch and a pink, animal print headscarf, with my much loved biker style jacket which I bought from Morgan, many moons ago when I used to work there. I finished off the look with my worn and tatty, leather cowboy boots and of course an umbrella! ;)

BODY CONS, RED FLORALS AND SLOUCHY BOOTS!
Well I wore this the other day when the sun was actually shining in Manchester and not pouring down with rain again like today! doh... Although, I can't complain really after camping in the sunshine in Harrogate this weekend, where I wen't to an antiques auction and bought many a bargain including a working Apple Mac computer for £5!!! Mad huh.
Anywho, This outfit consists of a black body con dress from H&M £19.99, teamed with this red button up top which is from Monsoon and my much loved red bandana, which was a present. I accessorised simply with a silver bangle, Slouchy black kitten heel boots and red lippy to finish it off...
Right, Im off to unpack all my auction bargains- have a mighty fine evening peeps! ;)

SEXY MONOCHROME LAYERS!
Thursday already huh! Well, I hope your weeks going well so far? I've had a fun time unpacking boxes of late (due to my recent house move), which seems an endless job and I still can't find my most loved possession which is my Armani bag! Arrrgggghhh. grrr and booo.
Anywho, I wore this the other day, which consists of a simple black hook and eye fastening pencil skirt which was 50p on a car boot sale, teamed with a bustier trompe l'oeil tee from Peacocks, with a black shrug from the market and a classic white short sleeve vintage jacket which was a present.
I popped on some classic black boots and red lippy to finish it off and add a hint of colour to the monochrome ensemble.
And... before you mention it, I know the rug looks crappy and hides my footwear! I'm changing my layout very soon so this little hallway won't be featured any longer, and nor will my hideous rug! ;)

OLD FAVOURITES, HEADSCARVES & GOLD!
Helllo! Its been too long has'nt it. I do have excuses though. 1. I did the Pure Exhibition in London for a week. 2. my Internet wen't down and 3. I also went camping for a mucho needed weekend away. So there you have it....
Anywho, I wore this the other day for a day of meetings and an evening meal out at Las Iguanas in Manchester. It consists of a black boob tube I've had years, teamed with an unusual cropped top bought many moons ago from Kookai.
My trousers are my much loved, old favourites from Morgan and my belt is Versace. I popped on my brown cowboy boots, A gold jacket from Topshop, with a vintage gold brooch and a little red head scarf to accessorise the look and add a dash of colour! ;)
